I've seen everybody and anybody starting blogs. So I thought, why not me? And here I am. There are many times that I want to write about something for the MTTA website but I just don't want to have to sit down and write an entire article. I'm hoping that by having a blog, I'll still be able to share my thoughts and do it on a more regular basis.
Ten Things About Me...
1. My name is Stacey. My middle name was Leigh until I dropped it and adopted my maiden name when I got married. But to this day, I still get called Stacey Leigh by many.
2. I'm from a small town in south Georgia. We have more than one traffic light but if this tells you anything...the main social gathering place is at Wal-Mart. It is definitely a place where everybody knows your name.
3. I started dating my husband in 1993 and we were married in 1999. I really wanted to get married in 2000 so I wouldn't have to tell people I was married in the 1900s! LOL!
4. I have a degree in Marketing from Valdosta State University.
5. I'm in the middle of applying for the MBA program at UGA...with all fingers and toes crossed.
6. I was lucky enough to be able to start my own business when my husband joined the Army. I have the MTTA website for Army wives, a few Cafepress stores and a jewelry website. Also, I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, freelance writer and marketing manager for a variety of small business clients. Whew!
7. I am the wife of an Army soldier and I am so very proud of him! I guess you would say I am one of the strange ones that enjoys the Army lifestyle. ;-) If they would ban the word "deployment", I would be totally satisfied.
8. We have no kids. We do, however, have four that have four legs. Two cats (Carson and Shelby), a dachshund (Bailey) and a springer spaniel (Meg). We also have a goldfish (Taylor) that my MIL has custody of that we bought from Wal-Mart in 1997.
9. I have found it is impossible for me to have just a hobby as, much to my husband's dismay, it always ends up as a business of some sort.
10. I like to have control over things (there's one thing the Army and I are on different ends of the spectrum about!), I'm a creative perfectionist, I like to learn new things and see new places, I only like to talk on my phone when I'm driving (bad habit I know!), I'm addicted to my email and my biggest weakness is the inability to say a tiny little phrase..."no".

Hello,My husband is in the Army and we just moved to Hawaii and i was looking for a army wives club here in Hawaii. But i don't think there is one.If you know of one please let me know.
