This is a program that is in its beginning stages with the expanded benefits. Originally, it was slated to help those affected by base closures or realignments. The program now is set to include extended benefits that can possibly help homeowners who faced a loss or foreclosure due to a PCS move during the mortgage crisis. They are still a few more hoops to jump through before applications can be accepted but its definitely worth looking into once all of the program details are made available.

I'd get your application in ASAP. They started accepting them back in February, which is when we sent ours in. They are being processed on a first in basis. I know that our file has been assigned a number and they've asked for additional documentation so I know it's been looked at. Now, we are just waiting for the guidance to be recorded in the Federal Register so that we can find out if we get any of the money from the program.

Have had our App in for months now, we have been assigned a number and have been informed they have all the required documentation. So I called and they said out of the 3000 applications received no one has gotton any assistance. What a bunch of B.S. They gave us deadlines, so what is theirs?????????????
